The New Birth Experience
We believe that Jesus is the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.We believe in repentance, water baptism, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.We believe in holiness and living a separated life from the world, and that holiness should be exemplified inwardly and outwardly. We firmly believe the Scriptural teaching of the Oneness of God found in Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” The Apostle Paul wrote: “One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Isa. 44:6-8, 45:5; Col. 2:9; Eph. 4:5–6)Repentance
We are all sinners (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 5:19). Jesus’ message to sinners is repentance (Mark 2:17). Repentance means: "the act of turning about; an about face; 180 degrees" (from sin to God). Water Baptism
Water baptism has two distinct meanings washing (Matthew 3:5-6) and burial (Romans 6:4 and Colossians 2:12) The word baptism comes from the Greek word "Baptizo", meaning to dunk, immerse, or soak. (John 3:23, Matthew 3:16, Acts 8:38-39)No other baptismal mode was practiced in scripture (Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5, Romans 6:3) Jesus' name must be invoked verbally to have a proper baptism. Jesus was crucified for us, so we should be baptized in Jesus' name. You do not receive the Holy Ghost automatically when you believe. It is a separate, but dynamic experience that is part of the New Birth that was prophesied in the Old Testament (Ezekiel 36:26-27, Joel 2:28). The Holy Ghost happened for the first time in the book of Acts (Acts 2:1-4)The Holy Ghost is necessary for salvation and the Holy Ghost experience is a part of the New Birth experience (Ephesians 1:13)The single common sign of the baptism of the Holy Ghost was “speaking in tongues” (Isaiah 28:11, Acts 2:4, Acts 19:6)The Future
We believe that a person’s final destination is determined by the life they live for God. We believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places where our souls spend eternity. We believe Jesus ascended into Heaven and He is the same one who will come back to earth. We believe in the rapture and that Jesus is coming again to take His church. We believe that the “dead in Christ” will be resurrected first, and then those who are alive will be caught away. Those who have followed the plan of salvation will inherit eternal life, and those who have not will experience eternal death. (Acts 1:11, 1 Thes. 4:16-17, Rev. 20:11-15)Our History
Since 1929, Fist Apostolic Church has been a place where lives have been transformed by the power of the Gospel. What began through the vision and sacrifice of Rev. C.P. and Mary Williams grew into a church and Bible college that influenced countless minsters and ministries throughout the Oneness Pentecostal movement.
Through changing seasons, pastoral transitions, and several locations, God has continued to guide and sustain this congregation. Each chapter of our history reflects His faithfulness and the dedication of those who faithfully built upon the foundation laid before them.
Today, under the leadership of Rev. and Mrs. Colton Carroll, F.A.C.T continues moving forward with the same Apostolic message, a renewed vision for our community, and a commitment to reaching future generations.
